More videos than ever
With technology growing at an ever rapid rate, the internet is becoming increasingly competitive and widely used. Now more than ever, there is a real need to stand out from the crowd and keep up with changing trends in order to be successful.
The key is to be at the forefront of the latest marketing methods, rather than being one to ‘jump on the bandwagon’. Cisco stated that by 2017, video will account for 69% of all consumer internet traffic. This shows just how significant to the media world video is becoming, and how important it is to incorporate video in your business’ future. People no longer want to spend time researching and reading static text, but would rather gain as much information as possible in a short blows, with this being seen as being more instantly engaging, providing results.
YouTube is at the forefront of these changes, with the video sharing site boasting that more than 100 hours of video are uploaded on to their site every minute. With over a billion users, the site is used by just under one third of all people on the internet, which isn’t surprising when taking into account that the site is available in over 75 languages, covering 95% of the internets’ population. The sheer popularity of the site demonstrates just how powerful video is in the internet world, and how valuable it can therefore be when used as a marketing tool.
Video is incomparable in terms of its potential reach, and consequently is becoming more widely recognised as being the right way to go. Despite this, simply creating a video is not enough. It is then important to recognise the importance of other aspects of advertising and the power of social media, ensuring that your video is then available to access in as many places as possible to maximise the potential viewer base.
